
Aviva Wishnow

Aviva is an associate representing entertainment and media clients, including production companies, producers, financiers, directors, and writers. She covers a wide variety of development, financing, production, and distribution matters in the film, television, new media and podcast industries. She has provided counsel for acclaimed film and television projects across various platforms, including Netflix, Apple, HBO/Max, Amazon, Paramount + and Hulu, and distributors, such as A24, Neon, and Lionsgate.
Prior to joining Klaris, Aviva was an associate at the entertainment law firm Bruns Brennan Berry Pikulin & Jacobs (3B Law), and was an in-house attorney at New York's flagship PBS station, WNET, where she focused on acquisitions, co-productions, pre-publication review, and structuring new media initiatives. During law school, Aviva also worked atFilmNation, Visit Films, and a boutique tech start-up firm recently acquired by Perkins Coie.
In her work, Aviva draws on her own experience in the independent film industry. Before becoming an attorney, she worked on both the production and distribution side of independent films, with a focus on international sales. She produced films that premiered at Sundance, Berlin, and Tribeca, and screened at President Obama's White House. She also co-founded a boutique production company that specialized in feature documentaries and branded content.
Aviva graduated from Cardozo Law School and Oberlin College. She is admitted to practice in New York and is a member of the NewYork City and State Bar.
